Free day camps
Multi-day programmes during school holidays: games, quizzes, theatre, music and sport. Run by a trained team with volunteers.
Partnership
This page is for people who assess an organisation before deciding to work with it. It covers what we are usually asked: who we are formally, what we actually run in Rzeszów, the ways we can work together, and what we do not yet have.
Who this is for
We are a small local organisation — we work best on concrete, countable projects.
Joint programmes for children, volunteer exchange, shared grant applications. We know the community of families with a migration background in Rzeszów.
We can take children into free day camps, help you reach Ukrainian-speaking families, and support activities during school holidays.
Employee volunteering, in-kind donations, funding one specific camp session. We report back on what actually got done.
Joint events for children and youth, sharing space, and mutual support in working with families in difficulty.
Formally
Written plainly, including what we do not have yet — so nobody has to work it out during negotiations.
In Rzeszów
We are a young organisation and our numbers are not big yet. These are the ones we have.
Multi-day programmes during school holidays: games, quizzes, theatre, music and sport. Run by a trained team with volunteers.
Sunday school during the service and a club for teenagers — a fixed point in the week, not a one-off event.
Practical and in-kind help for families in difficulty, many of them with a refugee background from Ukraine.
Our programmes are open to every child — regardless of faith, nationality or the family's financial situation.
Ways to work together
From one-off help to a standing partnership. We have either run each of these already or are ready to.
We act as the local partner: we bring the team, the programme and the contact with families. It works well for day camps, children's days and Christmas drives.
A hall, a pitch, a coach, a PA system. The limit on our programmes is space, not willingness.
One team day at a camp or renovating the hall. We provide the induction, a coordinator on site, and a write-up afterwards.
School supplies, food, sports equipment, art materials. They go directly to children and families, with nobody in between.
We can be a partner in a grant project — covering the programme side and reporting on the activities we run.
Help reaching families who do not know us yet — particularly Polish-speaking residents of Rzeszów.
How to start
One sentence about who you are and what you have in mind. No documents needed at this stage.
Online or with us at Sikorskiego 114. We show you what our week actually looks like and listen to what you need.
We write down who does what, by when, and how we report results. We say plainly what we cannot take on.
Afterwards you get a short summary: how many people, what happened, photographs, and what we would do differently next time.
Backing
We draw on programmes, materials and training developed across the whole Solid Rock mission since 2012. That is experience we do not yet have ourselves — which is why the numbers below are kept separate.
These figures cover the whole Solid Rock mission since 2012, across every country where it operates — not Rzeszów alone.
Questions
Yes. Solid Rock Poland is a Christian community and we say so openly. Our children's programmes are nonetheless open: taking part requires no statement of faith, and families know in advance who we are.
No. We do not hold public benefit organisation status, and the foundation is still being registered. If a tax deduction matters to you, write to us — we can suggest how to give through a partner organisation registered in Poland.
Services and community gatherings run mainly in Ukrainian — most of our community are families who came here from Ukraine. Contact with institutions, documents and correspondence are handled in Polish, and children's programmes run bilingually.
Payment confirmation comes from the platform handling the donation. A full set of Polish foundation documents will be available once registration completes. For in-kind donations we prepare a handover record.
It depends on the size of the hall and the number of volunteers for that session. With current resources we safely run groups of several dozen. If a project assumes more, let's establish that at the start — we would rather decline than do it badly.
Volunteers always work in teams, never one-to-one with a child, and complete an induction before starting. Requirements under Polish child-protection law are being implemented alongside the foundation's registration, and we are happy to go through the details before any joint project.
The best starting point is one question or one idea. We usually reply within a few working days.
